Sybiha: Russia’s attacks require a strong international response
Kyiv, August 28 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that a residential building in Kyiv was struck by Russia, killing at least eight people. Sybiha added that the European Union (EU) mission was also damaged, stating: “This requires condemnation not only from the EU but from the entire world.”
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha made a statement following Russia’s overnight attacks.
He said that a residential building in Kyiv was destroyed and that people might still be trapped under the rubble.
Sybiha reported that at least eight people, including one child, were killed in the attacks, emphasizing that Russia also targeted civilian infrastructure. He stated: “Putin can only be stopped by pressure and force. New sanctions and increased support for Ukraine are essential.”
He also said that the EU mission in Ukraine was damaged, calling it a clear violation of the Vienna Convention.
The Ukrainian minister declared: “This situation requires condemnation not only from the EU but from the entire world. We stand in solidarity with our European colleagues and are ready to provide support.”
He added that Putin’s calls for diplomacy and dialogue do not reflect reality, and that the attacks show a rejection of peace efforts.
