Szijjarto: Anyone attacking our energy security will face the consequences
Budapest, August 28 (Hibya) – Hungarian Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto announced that, in response to Ukraine’s attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline, the commander of the responsible military unit has been banned from entering Hungary and the Schengen Area.
Hungarian Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto made a statement regarding Ukraine’s recent attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Szijjarto stated that the attack was directed against Hungary’s sovereignty and endangered its energy security.
The Minister said: “This attack practically forced us to use our strategic reserves. Ukraine knows very well that the Druzhba pipeline is vital for the energy supply of Hungary and Slovakia, and that such attacks harm us much more than Russia.”
Szijjarto emphasized that necessary measures would be taken against attacks on energy security and sovereignty, announcing that the commander of the responsible military unit has been banned from entering Hungary and the entire Schengen Area.
