The 6th meeting of the Qatar-Egypt Joint Higher Committee was held in Cairo
Cairo, August 28 (Hibya) – The 6th session of the Joint Higher Committee between the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt was held in Cairo.
According to a statement from the ministry, the 6th session of the Joint Higher Committee between the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt took place in Cairo.
The Qatari delegation was led by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, while the Egyptian delegation was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
The session addressed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, diplomacy, social affairs, agriculture, and food security.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of social insurance and pensions was signed between the General Authority for Pensions and Social Insurance of Qatar and the National Social Insurance Organization of Egypt. Another MoU was also signed between the governments of Qatar and Egypt for cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security.
In addition to the minutes of the sixth session of the Joint Higher Committee, an MoU was signed between the foreign ministries of the two countries to establish a mechanism for political consultations.
