Budrys: Russia’s peace intentions are revealed through aggression
Vilnius, August 28 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, criticizing the attacks in Kyiv, called for tougher sanctions against Russia and the faster arming of Ukraine.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that Russia disproved its claims of “peace intentions” with the night attacks on Kyiv.
Budrys noted that 8 people were killed, more than 40 were injured, and the buildings of the EU Delegation and the British Council were targeted in the attack.
The Lithuanian minister stressed: “This is not only aggression, but also a message,” emphasizing that the international community’s response to Russia must be decisive.
Budrys called for stricter implementation of sanctions and for Ukraine to be armed more rapidly.
