IDF: Dozens of targets destroyed in Gaza
Gaza, August 28 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that operations against the Palestinian Islamic Movement and other organizations continue in various parts of the Gaza Strip. Reports indicated that many targets were struck and militants were neutralized.
The IDF shared information regarding the operations being conducted in the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, units of the Southern Command, in coordination with Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet, continue their activities against “terrorist organizations” across the region.
According to IDF information, in southern Gaza, the Golani Brigade of the 36th Division neutralized many militants and destroyed various structures. In the same area, the 188th Brigade continues its operations in Khan Younis along the “Magen Oz” axis, establishing operational control. It was reported that buildings used by members of the Palestinian Islamic Movement were targeted.
In northern Gaza, the 162nd Division carried out operations against surface and underground infrastructure. In Jabalia, the Givati Brigade destroyed numerous tunnels used by the Palestinian Islamic Movement, while the 401st Brigade identified and neutralized three militants with an airstrike.
IDF officials stated that the operations are continuing with the aim of “eliminating terrorist infrastructure.”
