Tsahkna: The global humanitarian aid system must now be fit for purpose
Brussels, May 19 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated during his speech at the European Humanitarian Forum in Brussels that the time has come to reform the global humanitarian aid system.
Tsahkna noted that the current system is insufficient in responding to today’s humanitarian crises, saying: “We now need to make this system truly fit for purpose.”
He also highlighted the European Union’s leading role in humanitarian aid, emphasizing that EU leadership is crucial in advancing these efforts.
