Guterres: The Pandemic Agreement is a guarantee of global solidarity and the right to health
New York, May 20 (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres emphasized that the historic Pandemic Agreement adopted under the leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO) marks a significant turning point for global health security.
Guterres highlighted that the Pandemic Agreement strengthens global preparedness for pandemics and guarantees equality and solidarity in the face of health threats.
"Covid-19 reminded us that no one is safe until everyone is safe," he said.
He further stressed that access to healthcare is a fundamental human right for all people.
