Schoof offers counterterrorism support to India
Amsterdam, May 20 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof expressed support for India in its fight against terrorism, stating, “We are committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation.”
Prime Minister Schoof hosted Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at Catshuis. During the meeting, support was extended to India following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last month.
Schoof said, “I clearly expressed my support for India’s fight against terrorism. The fact that tensions between India and Pakistan have not escalated further after this horrific attack is a positive development for all parties.”
The meeting also addressed the ongoing strategic partnership between India and the Netherlands. Prime Minister Schoof noted that this partnership includes long-term cooperation in areas such as trade, innovative technology, agriculture, and security.
