Israeli Foreign Minister Saar: Slander serves antisemitism
Jerusalem, May 20 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar reacted to statements made by former Deputy Chief of Staff and politician Yair Golan targeting the Israeli army.
Saar described Golan’s remarks as “a slander against the State of Israel and its army.” He stated that such comments, at a time when Israel is fighting for its existence, could fuel global antisemitism.
In his statement, Saar said: “This slander will not be forgotten or forgiven. Israel is currently fighting for survival against a coalition seeking to destroy it,” adding that such rhetoric damages the country’s legitimacy on the international stage.
