Zelensky: We will definitely defend our state and our people
Rome, May 18 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that all his recent meetings and negotiations have focused on security and peace for Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that today's event, commemorating the victims of political repression, was highly symbolic as it took place at a time when Ukrainians and their partners have intensified their diplomatic efforts to end Russian aggression, bring their people back from Russian captivity, and ensure true peace.
He stressed that the independence and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state are fundamental to protecting the nation, stating: “Freedom for Ukrainians and Ukrainian culture can only be guaranteed through reliable protection from Russia.”
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to everyone around the world who stands with Ukraine, stating that all of his recent meetings were focused on ensuring security and peace for the country.
