SCO Secretary-General meets with Araghchi during Tehran Dialogue Forum
Tehran, May 19 (Hibya) – Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi during his visit to Tehran to attend the Tehran Dialogue Forum.
During the meeting, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to active participation and the strengthening of cooperation among SCO member states. He highlighted the key role of the SCO Secretariat and its Secretary-General in enhancing the organization's effectiveness at both regional and international levels, strengthening connections and synergy among members, contributing to the peaceful resolution of disputes between some members, and advancing cooperation with multilateral structures such as BRICS, ECO, and D-8.
Yermekbayev, for his part, expressed his satisfaction with being in Tehran and participating in the Forum, stating that he believes the exchange of views at the Tehran Dialogue Forum will contribute to strengthening cooperation among SCO member states.
