Guterres: We need a permanent ceasefire
New York, May 19 (Hibya) – United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres said that a permanent ceasefire and the unconditional release of hostages are needed.
Secretary-General Guterres stated that nothing can justify the attacks carried out by the Palestinian Islamic Movement on October 7, and added:
“Likewise, nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people. We need a permanent ceasefire now. The unconditional release of hostages, now. The free flow of humanitarian aid, now.”
