Zelensky announced that he met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Rome.

He stated that they discussed Ukraine’s defense support and cooperation within the Coalition of the Willing, adding: “We also discussed the negotiations in Istanbul, increasing pressure on Russia, and which specific sanctions could force the Russian Federation to stop imposing conditions for an unconditional ceasefire.”

Zelensky expressed gratitude for Australia’s comprehensive support, including Abrams tanks helping Ukrainian fighters defend the country, and said: “It’s good to have allies from different continents. Together, by pressuring Russia, we can truly bring the current situation closer to peace.”
