Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov announced that they had welcomed Japan’s Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi, who paid an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Saidov noted that during his counterpart’s recent visit to Samarkand, he learned not only about the centuries-old cultural heritage but also about the dynamic economic potential, future cooperation opportunities, and projects carried out jointly with Japanese companies, adding:

“We believe that interregional cooperation between our countries has great potential, especially in strengthening ties between business communities.”
