Costa: Russia’s attacks strengthen our resolve
Strasbourg, August 28 (Hibya) – European Council President Antonio Costa condemned the overnight attacks on Ukraine. He sent a message of support to EU mission staff affected by the strikes, saying: “The EU cannot be intimidated, we will continue to stand by Ukraine.”
European Council President Antonio Costa made a statement regarding Russia’s overnight missile attacks on Ukraine.
Costa said: “Once again I am horrified by these deadly attacks. My thoughts are with the Ukrainian victims and the affected EU Delegation staff.”
He stressed that the attack would not discourage the European Union, adding: “Russia’s aggression only strengthens our determination to show solidarity with Ukraine and its people.”
The European Council President underlined that support for Ukraine would continue and that the EU’s assistance to the country would be maintained.
