Tajani: The closure of Leoncavallo is a legal requirement
Rome, September 6 (Hibya) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani reacted to insults and attacks against Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi during protests against the closure of the Leoncavallo social center in Milan.
In his statement on social media, Tajani expressed his full support for Piantedosi, saying, "The Minister of the Interior has performed his duty to ensure the rule of law with the support of the entire government and the majority of the Italian people."
Tajani also stated that many social centers in the country have become hubs for illegal activities and left-wing extremism, adding that the closure of Leoncavallo is a legal necessity.
