Tajani: Humanitarian aid to Gaza must be delivered without delay, an immediate ceasefire is essential
Rome, May 19 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, in his latest phone call with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, emphasized the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
In a statement regarding the call, Tajani said: “In line with ongoing contacts with the United States, we reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages. The Palestinian Islamic Movement must also take responsibility and approve the agreement.”
Tajani noted that Italy is ready to provide new humanitarian assistance under the “Food for Gaza” program, and confirmed that the Italian government will continue its support efforts for the Palestinian civilian population with determination.
