Fletcher: Israel has allowed aid to reach Gaza
New York, May 19 (Hibya) – UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher announced that Israeli authorities have temporarily allowed limited aid to be delivered to Gaza.
Fletcher stated that after 11 weeks of blockade, Israeli authorities have temporarily permitted the delivery of limited aid to Gaza.
He emphasized that aid must reach civilians in urgent need and be scaled up: “We are determined to save as many lives as possible.”
