The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening the historic friendship and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Benin. The discussions reflected a convergence of views on key regional and international issues, particularly the promotion of peace, stability, and sustainable development.

The State of Qatar praised the comprehensive economic and social reforms launched by the Beninese government since 2016, which laid the foundations for inclusive growth and institutional modernization. The Republic of Benin, in turn, acknowledged Qatar’s active role on the international stage, especially in Africa, in supporting peace, stability, and sustainable development partnerships.

Both parties expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector, including potential collaboration between national carriers Qatar Airways and Amazon Airlines, and exploring the possibility of establishing a direct flight between the two countries.

The two sides also agreed to strengthen cultural cooperation by organizing exhibitions and fostering partnerships between cultural institutions and museums to broaden the horizons of cultural diplomacy.
