Sanchez: There should be no double standards on human rights in Europe
Madrid, May 19 (Hibya) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasized that the approach to human rights must be consistent both nationally and across Europe.
In his statement, Sanchez said: “Spain’s commitment to human rights must be constant and consistent; the same applies to Europe. If Russia was banned from Eurovision after the invasion of Ukraine, the same principle should apply to Israel.”
Sanchez also stressed that double standards should not be allowed in the fields of culture and the arts, and called on Europe to adopt a consistent approach to human rights across all areas.
