Meloni: Italy aims to do its part
Rome, May 18 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that Italy aims to do its part to restart the dialogue between the European Union and the United States, two entities coming together to face global challenges.
Prime Minister Meloni said a constructive meeting would be held at Palazzo Chigi with US Vice President JD Vance and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
She emphasized that Italy aims to contribute to the relaunch of the EU–US dialogue in the face of global challenges, adding:
“Freedom, democracy, and putting the individual at the center are shared values on which a safer, more prosperous, and more stable future can be built. We are proud of this step in the name of Western unity.”
