Lahbib: The attacks are a clear violation of international humanitarian law
Brussels, May 18 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that many civilians were killed over the weekend in renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza, and that hospitals and medical staff were targeted.
Commissioner Lahbib emphasized that numerous civilians lost their lives and that hospitals and healthcare personnel were deliberately targeted during the renewed attacks on Gaza.
She stated that this is a clear violation of international humanitarian law, adding: “This must stop. Tomorrow and Tuesday, we will urgently address the crisis with our partners at the EHF.”
