Kallas: Russia can no longer use energy as a weapon against us
Brussels, June 17 (Hibya) – EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas stated that Russia can no longer use energy as a weapon against the EU.
Kallas announced that today they submitted a proposal to ban gas imports from Russia by the end of 2027.
She emphasized that Europe had already significantly reduced its dependence, adding, “Now we are turning off the tap completely. Russia can no longer use energy as a weapon against us.”
