Israel carried out an attack on leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement
Jerusalem, September 9 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that, through the Air Force, they carried out a targeted attack on senior leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement.
According to a joint statement by the IDF and the Shin Bet internal intelligence agency, a targeted airstrike was recently carried out against senior leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement.
The statement said that the targeted leaders had directed the organization’s terrorist activities for years, were directly responsible for planning and executing the October 7 massacre, and had assumed leadership of the war against Israel.
The IDF emphasized that, prior to the attack, additional intelligence was gathered and high-precision munitions were used to minimize harm to civilians.
Al Jazeera reported that the explosions seen and heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar, were the result of an assassination attempt targeting leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement and senior officials of the Palestinian group.
The statement noted that this was Israel’s first attack on Qatar, a key mediator in ceasefire negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement.
