Canada condemns Israel’s attacks on Qatar
Ottawa, September 10 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that Israel’s attacks on Qatar constitute an assault on Qatar’s sovereignty.
Prime Minister Carney condemned Israel’s attacks on Qatar and stressed that these attacks represent an unacceptable escalation of violence and an assault on Qatar’s sovereignty.
Highlighting that such attacks, regardless of their purpose, pose a serious risk of escalating conflict across the region, Carney said: “They directly jeopardize efforts to advance peace and security, release all hostages, and achieve a lasting ceasefire.”
Carney emphasized that Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani plays a highly constructive role in the ceasefire efforts.
