Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Prevot, condemned Israel’s violation of Qatar’s territorial integrity.

Prevot emphasized that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement is, of course, a terrorist organization that must be confronted, but stressed that this conflict has no military solution. “What is needed is for all parties to make a renewed effort for ceasefire negotiations. Belgium insists on full respect for international law, the release of all hostages, the immediate establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza, and the provision of unhindered humanitarian aid to civilians,” he said.

Prevot noted that so far there have been no reports of Belgian casualties. “Our embassy immediately informed the Belgian community and took the necessary security measures,” he added.
