Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus announced that a new Ebola outbreak has been declared in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

He stated that 15 deaths have been reported so far, including 4 healthcare workers. "WHO teams are supporting the response by deploying the necessary experts and medical supplies to protect healthcare workers and provide care for patients," said Ghebreyesus.

The outbreak has affected the health zones of Bulape and Mweka in Kasai province. Health officials conducted investigations after symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and bleeding were seen in reported cases and deaths. Samples tested on September 3 at the National Institute of Biomedical Research in the capital Kinshasa confirmed that the cause of the outbreak was Ebola Zaire, caused by the Ebola virus.

World Health Organization (WHO) deployed a national Rapid Response Team, including experts in epidemiology, infection prevention and control, laboratory and case management, to rapidly strengthen disease surveillance, treatment, and infection prevention and control in health facilities. Additionally, state risk communication experts were also deployed to reach communities and help them understand how to protect themselves.

Furthermore, WHO delivered a two-ton shipment of materials, including personal protective equipment, mobile laboratory equipment, and medical supplies.
