Trump: A great time to bring companies back to the U.S.
Washington, April 9 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump said that, amid a rising global tariff war shaking all sectors of the financial markets and investors selling off U.S. government bonds, it is a "great" time for business owners to move their companies back to the United States.
In a post on Truth Social, the President said companies relocating to the U.S. would face less bureaucracy, "environmental delays," and "zero tariffs."
This post came just minutes after China announced it would retaliate by raising tariffs on American goods from 34% to 84%. Trump's 104% tariff on Chinese imports took effect Wednesday at 07:00 Turkish time.
Donald Trump wrote:
"It’s a great time to bring your company to the United States, just like Apple and many other companies are doing in record numbers. Zero tariffs and almost instant Electricity/Energy hookups and approvals. No Environmental Delay. Don’t wait – do it now!"
