Netanyahu: Slanders against the Israeli army fuel antisemitism
Jerusalem, May 20 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to comments made by former Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan about the Israeli army.
Netanyahu described Golan’s remarks as “a grave slander against Israeli soldiers and the state.”
He stated, “The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are the most moral army in the world. Our soldiers are fighting heroically at the heart of our existential struggle.”
Referring to Golan’s recent claim that “Israel kills babies as a hobby,” Netanyahu said this marks a new level of moral decline. “These statements have no moral boundaries left,” he added.
