Kristersson: We know that peace is not something that exists by itself
Stockholm, May 29 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson released a message on the occasion of Veterans Day.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson expressed his gratitude to all the women and men who temporarily left their homes and families to serve abroad.
"We are a small country, but we have come to better understand the importance of the outside world. We know that peace is not something that exists by itself. That is why today we commemorate more than 40 missions carried out over 52 years on five continents — over 6,000 individual deployments. Some missions involved only one Swede, while others saw over 1,700 participants over time," Kristersson said.
