President Zelensky said that Russia is prolonging the war and continues to use every kind of deception against countries that attempt to influence Moscow with rhetoric.

He emphasized that words will not work on Moscow: “Even the so-called ‘memorandum of understanding’ – which is claimed to be prepared and supposedly worked on for over a week – has not been seen by anyone. It has not been shared with Ukraine or our partners. Not even with Türkiye, the host of the first meeting, have they shared the new agenda.”

Zelensky added: “They had actually promised the opposite, first and foremost to the United States and President Trump. This is yet another Russian deception. They are doing everything to render the negotiations meaningless. And this is further proof of why sufficient sanctions and pressure against Russia are necessary.”
