Lazzarini: Hunger threatens the future of children in Gaza
New York, May 29 (Hibya) – Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that in addition to heavy bombardments, hunger threatens the future of children in Gaza.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Lazzarini stated that there is a war against children in Gaza.
Emphasizing that hunger, along with the intense bombings, endangers the future of children, Lazzarini said: “What is urgently needed is political will to allow the UN and its partners to deliver large-scale aid without obstruction or disruption. Let us do our job.”
