Geneva, May 20 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with Chinese Vice Premier Liu Guozhong during the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA78).

The meeting addressed developments in China's healthcare sector, the Pandemic Agreement process, WHO reform, and traditional medicine. Dr. Ghebreyesus emphasized the critical importance of cooperation in tracing the origins of COVID-19.
As part of the meeting, an agreement was signed for China to contribute $20 million to WHO’s initiatives.
