He emphasized that after Russia’s unacceptable violation of Poland’s airspace, they stand in full solidarity with Poland, adding: “Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine and reckless violations of EU member states’ airspace pose a direct threat to the security of all Europeans and critical infrastructure across the continent.”

Costa underlined that Poland has the right to take the necessary steps to defend its sovereignty, stating: “Europe is increasing its investment in its defense because peace and security in Europe cannot be guaranteed.”
