Lahbib: Europe continues to stand by Ukraine
Brussels, September 10 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, said that Team Europe continues to stand by Ukraine, noting that the EU and member states have mobilized €4.2 billion in humanitarian aid so far.
Commissioner Lahbib said that Team Europe continues to support Ukraine.
She stated that the EU and member states have mobilized €4.2 billion in humanitarian aid, adding: “As winter approaches, risks for vulnerable populations are increasing. The European Commission has allocated an additional €40 million in support.”
Lahbib pointed out that this is the largest and most complex operation under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism: “More than 156,000 tons of aid have been delivered, including energy, demining equipment, shelter, CBRN materials and medical supplies.”
