Szijjarto: We do not want Europe to enter the war
Budapest, September 10 (Hibya) – Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto stated that, unlike European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, they do not want Europe to enter the war.
Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Szijjarto stressed that, unlike Commission President von der Leyen, Hungarians do not want Europe to enter the war, noting that saying Europe must fight is very dangerous and escalates tensions.
He said that this carries the risk of dragging the EU into conflict: “We absolutely reject this. We do not want war, we will not be dragged into war, and we will always stand for peace.”
