Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys emphasized that Lithuania stands in full solidarity with its ally Poland, noting that Russia’s repeated reckless violations of NATO airspace pose a direct threat to the safety of the population and critical infrastructure.

He stated that NATO’s frontline air defense must be strengthened without delay:

“The Alliance must respond not only with concerns but also with capabilities. The truth is: as long as Putin is allowed to continue his bloody war against Ukraine, no country – not even within NATO – is safe.”

Budrys added: “Sanctions must strike at the heart of the Kremlin’s war economy. Until we stop him, Putin will not stop.”
