Wong: Jakarta Treaty opens a new chapter in Australia-Indonesia relations
Canberra, August 26 (Hibya) - Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said the Jakarta Treaty, signed this year, opens a new chapter in relations between Australia and Indonesia.
Australian Foreign Minister Wong shared a post on social media regarding relations between Australia and Indonesia.
Wong said in her post, “The signing of the Jakarta Treaty this year opens a new chapter in relations between Australia and Indonesia.”
Wong said that together with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, they hosted Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Foreign Minister Sugiono from Indonesia, adding that they were working to strengthen the robust relations between the two countries and deepen cooperation across different areas of the partnership.
