Ukraine: Latvia to provide 6.8 million euros for reconstruction
Kyiv, March 30 (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Latvia will allocate 6.8 million euros to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and resilience.
According to the statement by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the funding will be directed primarily toward rebuilding critical infrastructure in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The support will include projects related to educational facilities, shelters, energy supply, and healthcare services.
The statement also noted that the funding will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capacity, particularly by supporting the procurement of unmanned systems.
It was also reported that Latvia has expressed its intention to become one of the founding members of the special tribunal planned to address the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked Latvia for its support.
