Amsterdam, March 30 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten emphasized the importance of strong cooperation between the government and municipalities, stating that the G4 cities—Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht—play a major economic, political, and cultural role for the country.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten stated that municipalities are the closest public institutions to citizens in the Netherlands and highlighted the importance of strong communication between the government and local authorities. Jetten said, “Municipalities are the closest institutions to citizens in the Netherlands. Therefore, it is very important for the government and municipalities to be able to work well together.”
In his statement, Jetten noted that the G4 group—Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht—is of great importance to the country, adding: “The G4 cities are of great importance for our country economically, politically, and culturally.”
Jetten also said that as part of his duties, he held official meetings today with Femke Halsema and Jan van Zanen and will meet Sharon Dijksma and Carola Schouten in the coming period. Prime Minister Jetten concluded: “I have full confidence in our future cooperation.”
