Tajani: We are closely monitoring the earthquake in Colombia
Rome, August 10 (Hibya) - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said the powerful earthquake in Colombia caused numerous deaths and injuries, announcing that no Italian citizens have so far been reported as affected by the incident.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said they are closely monitoring developments following the powerful earthquake in Colombia.
Tajani said he is monitoring the situation in Colombia in coordination with the Italian Embassy in Bogota and the Foreign Ministry's Crisis Unit. He stated that the earthquake caused numerous deaths and injuries, as well as the collapse of several buildings.
Tajani said there is currently no information regarding Italian citizens affected by the earthquake, adding that they remain in constant contact with local authorities to monitor developments.
On behalf of the Italian government, Tajani conveyed a message of solidarity to the Colombian people following the tragedy.
