Sybıha backs Tajani’s protest
Kyiv, April 22 (Hibya) – Following Italy’s protest against Russia, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybıha issued a statement supporting Italy.
Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that Russia’s ambassador to Rome had been summoned to the Foreign Ministry.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybıha commented on Tajani’s remarks: “We conveyed our official protests regarding the statements made by Vladimir Solovyov on Russian television against Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.”
Sybıha stated: “The Russian propaganda machine, under the full control of the ruling regime, has once again shown its true face.”
In his statement, he added: “Such insulting and unacceptable remarks are not only personal attacks but also reflect the Russian regime’s approach toward the free world and countries that take a principled stance.”
Expressing support for Italy, Sybıha said: “I support my colleague Antonio Tajani’s response and express solidarity with Italy.”
He also added: “We appreciate Italy’s consistent stance in supporting Ukraine and its contribution to the defense of international law.”
