Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, drew attention to the Spanish government’s pro-peace stance and its choices that prioritize public welfare.
Emphasizing the government’s priorities, Albares said, "This was the first government in the world to reject war; it was the government that approved a social safety net to protect Spaniards from the consequences of war."
Regarding the main objective of foreign policy, Minister Albares stated, "A government with a foreign policy that defends the interests of Spaniards."
