Prime Minister Schoof noted that Iceland is a valuable partner and ally, saying, "We also work together frequently, for example within NATO and the UN."

Schoof said they held a meeting with Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadottir at the Catshuis in preparation for next month’s NATO summit, adding:

"We also have a firm commitment to continue supporting Ukraine, and we are both members of the Joint Expeditionary Force, a regional military cooperation aimed at strengthening European defense. We also discussed Iceland’s potential EU membership."

Schoof thanked Prime Minister Frostadottir for her visit.
