Istanbul, April 22 (Hibya) – Asian stock markets showed a generally mixed performance during the day. While some indices recorded limited gains, selling pressure was dominant overall.

In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 index fell by 0.97% to 8,862 points. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index lost 1.34%, while the China-focused FTSE China 50 index declined by 1.73%. In India, the Nifty 50 index dropped by 0.59%, while Malaysia’s KLCI index fell by 0.37% and Thailand’s SET index decreased by 0.06%. Indonesia’s IDX Composite index also lost 0.20%.
On the other hand, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index rose by 0.24%, while South Korea’s Kospi index gained 0.12%.
The data indicated that investors across the region remained cautious and that the search for direction in the markets continues.
