According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Migrants Dr. Farsin Agabikian Şahin received Italy’s Consul General in Jerusalem, Domenico Bellato.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Adil Atiyye, Director General of the European Affairs Department, and officials from the Europe and Press Departments. Minister Şahin conveyed the extent of the deepening humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip as a result of ongoing genocide, starvation, and forced displacement policies.

Italian Consul General Bellato reaffirmed his country’s support for fair and comprehensive peace efforts and expressed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and Palestine.
