Milatovic: Bulgaria is a strong supporter on the EU path
Podgorica, September 8 (Hibya) – Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic stated during his meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev that they discussed strengthening political and economic relations between the two countries.
Milatovic emphasized that Bulgaria, as both a member of the European Union and a NATO ally, provides continuous and strong support for Montenegro’s EU accession process. He stressed that Montenegro aims to accelerate its reform process and achieve full EU membership by 2028.
The meeting also highlighted cooperation between the two countries in the field of Antarctic research. Milatovic noted that this partnership, initiated at his own initiative, has enabled Montenegrin researchers to participate in international scientific expeditions on climate change and the Antarctic ecosystem.
President Milatovic stated that this work is just one example of the strong partnership that Bulgaria offers Montenegro.
