Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Dutch Defence Minister Brekelmans said that security in the Arctic region is of strategic importance for all NATO allies.

Brekelmans stated that for this reason, the Netherlands, together with other NATO allies, will conduct a joint reconnaissance mission in Greenland as part of preparations for a military exercise in the Arctic, adding: “The reconnaissance mission is led by Denmark. The Dutch Ministry of Defence is sending an officer from the Royal Netherlands Navy.”

Brekelmans noted that the purpose of the reconnaissance missions is to determine options for a joint exercise to be held in the Arctic region, saying:

“Based on the reconnaissance mission, the exercise will be planned and organized in more detail. A larger NATO deployment known as Arctic Sentry is a possible next step. This issue will be discussed in more detail within NATO in the coming period. The Dutch government has a positive view on this matter.”
