Baghaei commemorates over 200 media workers killed in Palestine
Tehran, May 3 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei issued a message on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.
Baghaei stated that World Press Freedom Day is an important reminder of the courage of journalists, photographers, and cameramen who risk their lives to expose the genocidal atrocities against Palestinians.
He commemorated more than 200 media workers who were victims of the genocide campaign they were trying to reveal, saying: “They were targeted because they felt compelled to document the immense pain and suffering of Palestinians in Gaza and to expose the brutality of the apartheid occupying regime.”
Baghaei emphasized that the U.S., Israel, and other countries that support and justify such atrocities are complicit in these crimes and will be held accountable.
