Albares: We defend freedom and international law
Madrid, May 9 (Hibya) – Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that support for Ukraine means not only defending the country’s freedom, but also the pursuit of democracy, peace, and security across Europe.
In his statement, Albares said: “Supporting Ukraine means defending the right to freedom. It means defending the legitimate desire of all Europeans for democracy, peace, and security.”
Minister Albares also emphasized that support for Ukraine is a commitment to the fundamental principles of international order, saying: “The international order must be based on rules, not on violence and coercion.”
